Bay View Cottage is located in an ideal area close to the coast on the Cartmel Peninsula and a gateway to the southern part of the Lake District National Park. Cartmel, famous for its fabulous race days throughout the summer, is only a 5-minute drive away. Also close by is the well-known, family owned estate of Holker Hall which offers a range of activities and some stunning gardens to walk round.

Newby Bridge is a short drive away, with the Aquarium of the Lakes and Windermere Lake Cruises. If water isn’t your bag and you prefer a more scenic tour into Windermere, then enjoy a leisurely train ride from the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Steam railway also at Newby Bridge.
