Resting in a lovely location and close to cultural attractions, 2 The Coach House is a wonderful cottage in a memorable part of England.

Summary: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We found the accommodation to be comfortable, clean and it had all the amenities we expected. Liaising with the owner was easy regarding entering the property. The kitchen is well equipped. In previous critiques, guests reported that the shower tray in the main bathroom leaked. In fact the plastic seal on the bottom of the door was on the wrong way round. This was easily rectified. We didn’t experience wet floors after showering. A few drips from the door when getting out but otherwise no dramas. The bed in the en-suite bedroom is squeaky. The garden needs a bit of attention but otherwise we enjoyed the bbq and sitting out in the late afternoon/early evening sunshine. We enjoyed days out at High Force Falls, Ullswater, Hamsterley Forrest and Durham. Fish and chips from Middleton are fab! Enjoyed drinks at both pubs in the village, albeit very different experiences (but good)!
