A large, comfortable living room with dining space offers a great place to entertain or unwind and features full height windows overlooking the delightful courtyard. The well-equipped kitchen has everything you need to prepare for the day ahead, and down the hallway with its original exposed stone work are two bedrooms, a double and a twin, along with a family bathroom. Underfloor heating warms the accommodation throughout, and outside is a small seating area to the front overlooking the pleasant and well-kept courtyard.
Croftlands Court was once a coach house and stable block, and now contains four apartments and one cottage. Subject to availability, it is possible to use the on-site tea room for larger groups as a dining area. Set on a working farm with a prize winning herd of pedigree Jersey cows, the owners will be happy to show you around, including a chance to meet the curious calves, flock of hens, ducks , rabbits and Kerry the little white terrier as well as the farm cat too.
Situated in quiet countryside, close to the Solway Coast, there are plenty of quiet lanes to explore be it on foot or two wheels. Further afield is the historic city of Carlisle, 20 miles away, famous for its Roman history. Perhaps take a scenic drive and head to the Lake District National Park, just 15 miles away.
Head back to the farm at the end of a busy day to enjoy a pot of tea and home-made cake at the on-site ‘Cups and Saucers’ tea room, open March through to October. With coast, countryside, lakes and hills there is something for everyone, whatever the weather. Beach 4¼ miles. Shop 4¼ miles, pub and restaurant 2 miles.
