There is children’s play park nearby that has many activities to choose from, such as a large boating lake, tennis courts, basketball and football areas. If you fancy a game of golf, within 2 minutes’ walk you will reach the Redcar Lynx Golf Course. The next resort along the coast is Saltburn-by-the-Sea which itself boasts a picturesque Victorian promenade and pier and is a surfer’s paradise.
Redcar is just on the edge of the North York Moors National Park with a friendly nature reserve so is ideally situated for those who want to sample some of the prettiest countryside in the county. Take a nostalgic ride on the steam train that chugs its way from Whitby deep into the heart of the North York Moors. Alternatively, explore the many bays and coves along the heritage coast such as Robin Hood’s Bay, Runswick Bay or Staithes.
