The property itself is a detached single storey lodge based within the grounds of the owner’s home and it can accommodate up to three guests. Converted for light, airy, and comfortable living, the property has an open-plan kitchen, living and dining area which is well equipped with all the key appliances and space to enjoy a meal together sat at the dining table or relaxing in front of the Smart TV. Discover the two bedrooms, one of which has a double bed and the other with a futon sofa which converts into a double bed. The family shower room is fitted with a shower cubicle, heated towel rail, toilet, and sink.
The private enclosed garden has thoughtfully been set up with a patio area and garden furniture. Relax here, soak up the Devon sunshine in idyllic bliss and enjoy long relaxing summer days. Guests will have shared use of the owners’ indoor swimming pool which is available by arrangement.
Lapwing Lodge is in a great position for exploring Somerset, Dorset, and North Devon. For those of you into outdoor activities there is a wealth of things to do including cycling, horse riding, water sports and hiking. Just five minutes’ walk is the lovely village of Hemyock which has two village shops and a village pub. Here you can find all of your local amenities. The picturesque village of Culmstock is only three miles from here and has a lovely country pub with lots of outside seating set on the river Culm. There is also a country village shop which sells cakes and pastries.
Discover Devon and Dorset’s world heritage Jurassic coastline and Somerset’s famous bustling market towns. Spend your afternoons at any one of the nearby beaches, where you can enjoy some sunbathing, paddling or paddle boarding!
