Newlyn is a bustling fishing village with some traditional Cornish pubs surrounding the picturesque commercial harbour and it is one of the finest places in the country to source beautiful fresh fish direct from the market. To the west lies Mousehole which has become famous for its great Christmas harbour lights and to the east, Penzance, and an expanse of golden sandy beaches that lead around Mounts Bay to the spectacular St Michaels Mount. Lands End, Lamorna Cove, the Minack Theatre, St Ives, Sennen Cove and a plethora of fantastic walks, beaches and amazing coastline, steeped with the history of tin mining, wrecking and smuggling, are all within a short drive. A holiday at Hen Noweth can be as action-packed or as tranquil as you wish.
Penzance is just a 5-minute drive away. Every June, Penzance holds the Golowan (Feast of St John) & Mazey Day celebrations. This week long celebration attracts many visitors and traffic is banished from the centre of Penzance during Mazey Day when the streets become lined with stalls and hold colourful processions. From Penzance harbour you can catch a ferry to the Isles of Scilly. Beach 352 yards.
